I’ve been hearing a lot about the brand Younique, and especially a lot about their 3D Fiber Lash Mascara. Being a beauty blogger, of course I wanted to explore and write about it. Being a business student, of course I wanted to get in on it as a business venture. Being someone whose broke, extra cash sounds cool. And being someone who loves makeup, of course I am obsessed with the idea of being able to combine business and beauty.
So I decided to take this cosmetics business on, which began with ordering a starter kit. Here is an unboxing of all the intriguing items that came inside:
First of all, it comes in this gorgeous bag that I just can’t get enough of.
Three Different Face Masks
The first thing I pulled out were these face masks, which each serve a different purpose: Exfoliating, Oil Control, and Detoxifying.
Moodstruck Eye Primer
I’d just like to make a comment on how pretty and chic the packaging of these products is. A quality eye primer is tough to find, so I’m excited to try this one out and see how well it performs.
Moodstruck Lash Serum
This is definitely interesting. It’s not a mascara, so I’m wondering if it is meant for nourishing or prepping your lashes prior to applying mascara.
Splurge Cream Eyeshadow
This is a cream eyeshadow pot in the shade Faithful, a matte brown. I really like the texture of this product, it’s nothing like the Maybelline Color Tattoos or E.L.F. Smudge Pot, but kind of combines the best of both. It is a very unique (or…younique, haha) feel to it, and the swatch pictured on my arm appears very pigmented.
Moodstruck Epic Mascara
Okay so we have a mascara here, not the famed 3D Fiber Lash but perhaps this mascara pairs with the serum we unboxed earlier.
3D Fiber Lashes
Ok, here it is! It comes in this fancy little buttoned bag because there are two different products to this; transplanting gel and the fibers. The box has directions on it for how to use it. This is definitely what I am most excited to try and see if it’s really worth the hype.
Moodstruck Pressed Shadow
Next we have these single eyeshadow pans, and they come with a mini Z-palette type thing. The swatches are gorgeous: (from top to bottom) Agile, Slick, Antsy, and Optimistic.
Then they sent me this cute little charm to say that I’m a White Status presenter, and as I’m writing this I just figured out that I think they organize the colors the same way they do for belts in Tae Kwon Do…
Moodstruck Precision Pencil
Here we have an eyeliner pencil that swatches nice and creamy and very black. It even comes with a sharpener, which is always handy.
And lastly, we have an assortment of brushes and a handy dandy pair of tweezers, which I can’t wait to try out.
I am so excited to have finally received this. Trying out products and telling people about them is kind of my thing (hence being a beauty blogger) so I can’t wait to get these pretty things on my eyes and show everyone. I’ll be updating on my blog and my Instagram soon as I start to explore these.
