5 Favorite Eyeshadow Palettes (Of All Time)

As long as we’re all being honest here, I’m a bit of an eyeshadow palette hoarder. I can’t help it, I go crazy over the packaging, the colors, even if I could probably find a similar one that I already have. So with that being said, I have tried out quite a few palettes.

But for those of you who aren’t makeup hoarders and are just wondering which palettes out there are the best of the best, here is a list of my top 5. Each of these palettes has versatile colors for creating all sorts of eye looks, with excellent pigmentation and quality, so if you’re looking for that one good do-it-all palette, take a look through this list.

#5 Kat Von D Shade and Light Eye Contour Palette

I use this palette every time I do my makeup for my eyebrows, and honestly I have yet to find a brow product I like better than the colors in this palette. First off, the organization of this palette is perfect for somebody looking to make everyday looks. It has three color combos: each comes with a large top shade meant to be the base shade, and then three shades beneath for lid, crease, and highlight. But of course, you don’t have to follow the laid out template; it’s just there to help out, which is why it’s such a great palette for somebody who likes simplicity when they do their makeup. The shadows in this are 100% matte and crazy pigmented, so you don’t need to pick up a whole lot on your brush.

#4 Tartelette In Bloom Palette

This palette is so cute and compact, I love it. It even comes with a good size mirror if you want to pull it out of your purse and touch up your eyeshadow, no matter where you are. It comes with 12 shades, including both matte and shimmer finishes. The colors swatch beautifully, and it has both light and dark shades so you can do a day time or night time look without needing a whole different palette.

#3 Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette

This is the very first high-end eyeshadow palette I ever bought, and to this day it is still the cutest packaging I have ever seen, I could literally just eat it up. I don’t even know where to start with this one, so I’ll just talk about the smell. Oh my god, it has this beautiful creamy mocha scent, you’ll have to smell it every time you open it. One of these days I’m just gonna crush these shadows into a line and snort it, they’re like tiny squares of chocolatey heaven.

Second, the quality of the shadows is sublime. Super creamy and pigmented, and such a wide variety, from deep matte browns to shimmery purple and pink. This is another day-to-night palette that could make a perfect gift for anybody who likes to wear makeup.

#2 Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance Palette

This palette is still the talk of the town in the beauty community, even though it’s been out for quite some time. It comes with a double sided brush that surprisingly works very well. The colors are EXTREMELY pigmented with a lot of kickback, so once again, a little bit goes a long way. The colors are very interesting and unique, but there are still different combinations for every day looks. The reds are what sold me on this though. They blend so beautifully, I find myself reaching for this palette all the time.

#1 Morphe 35O Palette

If the law stated you were only allowed to own one eyeshadow palette, honestly my choice would probably be this one. First of all, 35 beautifully pigmented colors for such a good price is surreal. It has everything you could possibly need and more- mattes, shimmers, satins, and a range of colors you can create endless looks with. It took me forever to get this palette since it kept selling out when it first released, but when I finally got a hold of it I almost died, it was well worth the wait.
