I’ve been hearing a lot of buzz lately about the benefits of nutmeg for your skin- from fighting acne to fading discoloration. I knew from Huda Kattan of Huda Beauty that mixing it with honey makes an easy DIY mask, but my broke ass doesn’t have any honey lying around my apartment, and my lazy ass doesn’t feel like going out to buy some. What I did have was milk and apple cider vinegar.
I’ve always known about how good milk does for the skin. After all, it’s packed with protein and vitamins that the face loves. Apple cider vinegar, on the other hand, held some new information for me; it’s alpha hydroxy acids gently remove dead skin. So I combined all three ingredients into a super easy face mask.
A couple teaspoons of Nutmeg mixed with a few drops of milk and a few drops of Apple Cider Vinegar is all you need. Then mix it up to make a paste (it may be a little runny, so have some paper towels on hand to gently dab at the drops that might form around your chin following application) and apply it to your face using a flat foundation brush. When it dries, it rinses off easily- revealing softer, supple skin.
