5 Foundation Favorites I Highly Recommend

4 out of 5 of the products I am about to mention are drug store which is pretty neat burrito if you ask me. Who doesn’t love a good affordable foundation?

For me, foundations have always been a scary product due to unpredictable things such as the color applying differently from how it appears in the bottle as well as the possibility of oxidization. Ever since high school when there was this girl who wore orange makeup that she never blended down her neck and everyone called her Carrot Face, I’ve been paranoid of spending money on something that makes me look terrible instead of flawless.

Regardless of my foundation trust issues, these 5 foundations right here have me shook and constantly reaching for them.

#5: Milani Conceal & Perfect 2-In-1 Foundation + Concealer

While I don’t get the whole 2-in-1 concept here, this product is an excellent foundation. The texture feels so nice on the skin and blends out easily into a beautiful full coverage finish and lasts the whole day.

#4: Wet N Wild Photofocus Foundation

This foundation is very similar to the Milani one I just mentioned previously. The cool thing about this though is that there is a spatula applicator attached to the cap so that you can apply directly from the bottle to your skin, rather than pumping or pouring onto the back of your hand.

#3: Diorskin Forever Foundation

This one is the most expensive of all of them, I believe it is $50. However I think that it is well worth it since you get a good amount of product (a little bit goes a long way as well) and it is such great quality. Though it is a thin formula it provides great coverage, smells wonderful, and has SPF 35. It also has the best packaging out of the 5 foundations in this list.

#2: Maybelline 24 Hour Foundation

I bought this after hearing from several people that it was a dupe of the Huda Beauty Faux Filter foundation, which I also hear raving reviews about. While I do not have the Faux Filter to compare this to, I was not disappointed in this product. Once again: full coverage with possibly one of the most beautiful finishes I have ever seen. I love how it glides over my pores and doesn’t sink into them or get greasy and slip off throughout the day.

#1: Nyx Total Control Drop Foundation

img_0249.jpg

Not gonna lie, at first I thought this was an “Instagram Foundation” because I saw it in all the quick Instagram makeup tutorials and thought it just looked cool because of the water dropper applicator. I also wondered if this would even work for my skin since it’s such a liquidy formula and I’m so oily. But this is my top favorite foundation right now. On it’s own, I love how good it feels and how easily it blends into the skin. Mixed with other foundations, it gets even better. So far I’ve tried a few different combinations and this foundation always improves the texture of whatever product I mix it with. My favorite combo is this and the Diorskin foundation I mentioned earlier.

As it stands right now, that is my list of current favorite foundations. Considering the fact that there are always new products and brands hitting the market, this list could easily change in the near future. I have yet to find anything to beat these ones though ❤

  1. I have been dying to try the Dior Skin Forever Foundation forever! I was first intrigued when I saw Jaclyn Hill use it on her YouTube channel where she raved about it! You might have pushed me over the edge to buy it! It is so expensive though! My wallet will definitely suffer if I do purchase it! Also, I LOVE LOVE LOVE your eyeshadow at the beginning of your post! Those pinky shades are totally up my ally! XO!

    1. Thanks girl! And while the Dior foundation is pricey, I always think a good quality foundation that you get a lot of use out of is a worthy investment ! 🙂
